I am currently performing a massive backup from my Sempron server to an external Firewire disk. To speed up things I have tried to disable the real-time protection. However, when I select option "disable real-time protection -> until next boot" and leave the room the real-time protection is on again after half an hour or so when I come back to check the progress. I have not been logged out only the screen saver has turned off the monitor.
I have now seen this twice so it cannot be something I have done by mistake. Is this a planned feature or is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening again?
