Bd Won't Start

I've had some problems today with removing a virus that BD said "no action is possible" and I've run Malwarebyte Anti Malware and MS Malicious Software Removal Tool, and now Bit Defender won't start up, nor will Windows Security Centre. BD just says its unavailable and to re-boot, but it still won't start. I've checked startup and bdagent is present, and I've also tried starting bdagent.exe from the BD folder with no success.
How can I get BD and Windows Security Centre to start again?
