Internet Security 2009 Not Remembering...

Hi.

I am currently previewing the trial version of IS2009 and am generally happy with the software. However, there are a couple of little irritants that keep popping up.

1. For whatever reason, the firewall keeps forgetting that I have already approved the internet connection for Superantispyware and it keeps asking me each time I reboot whether I want to allow the connection. I have tried deleting all rules and starting over, deleting just the SAS rules that are there in BD and nothing seems to work.

2. The Scan Activity bar keeps showing up on bootup (not all the time) even though I have turned it off in the settings.

My OS details - Win Vista Home Basic SP2

Other security software installed - Superantispyware (Real Time protection turned off as it was causing conflicts with BD), Threatfire and Zemana AntiLogger

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

  • Hello DazedNConfused,

I'm going to start out by saying that we do not recommend having multiple security solutions of the same type installed on one system because this can be a possible source of conflict and can lead to the malfunction of at least one of the programs. In order to troubleshoot this issue I would recommend uninstalling at least Zemana AntiLogger and ThreatFire from the computer.

After that please go to Firewall - Rules and click on Reset Rules then launch Superantispyware, allow it and test if the pop-up reappears.

Concerning the second issue raised in your post, please check post 16 on this topic:

    Thank you!
