Can't Install Bitdefender Trial

I can't seem to install the trial version. I am planning on buying this product after the trial too.


When I try to install a pop-up appears stating that they cannot install due to an "internal error," and suggests that I do an online scanning. I did the online scanning and ran the installation again and the same thing happened. What do I do?


Is there any way I can order BitDefender in a CD licensed for 3 PCs?

  • Hi well the bitdefender you download would be the newest release so I would make sure it worked before spending any money. That is what the trial is for to make sure it works and you are happy with it before you buy. Check and make sure you are useing the correct version for your windows 32 or 64 bit.Check also event viewer for any errors it reports.

    In order to be able to assist you further, please let us know:


    - what BitDefender product/version you are trying to install;


    - what is your operating system;


    - are there any other security solutions on the same PC, besides BitDefender?


    - what type of Internet connection are you using ;


    Also it will be very helpful if you can tell us what error message you receive when you try to install BitDefender . You can include a screen-shot as well , if you can .

    - Trying to install the 2009 version.


    - Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP2


    - None. Removed Kaspersky before attempting to install.


    - DSL around 3 mbps


    I downloaded the trial on my other 2 computers. I'm trying to install it onto my 3rd one. But if it doesn't work then.. I guess I'll have to stick with Kaspersky. I want 3 PC / 1 Year.

    Please try installing the latest version of Windows Installer. In order to do that please follow this link:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en


    You will be directed to the Microsoft web page. From there ,under "Files in This Download" please choose "WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe" and select Download. Save the file on your computer and run it after that.


    After you perform this action, save the BitDefender installation kit from one of the following links :
