Bd Firewall Ndis Filter Miniport

At some point something changed, just not sure what....

I have BD 2009 total internet security running on Vista 64.

When I boot, I get a unknown hardware adapter that wants to install a driver (pretty vague message).

When I allow it to do so (under an administrator account), I get:

Windows found the driver but encountered an error while attempting to install it

Bitdefender Firewall NDIS Miniport

I tried a number of things, but not luck, so I uninstalled BD and rebooted. Wow, I got the same message. Is this really a BD message or device?

I checked all the network devices to make sure that there is no BD devices/services. None.

I then re-installed 2009 and still have the same message and I can't seem to get rid of it.

What am I missing?
