Bdis 2010 Wont Install

Options

Hiya there

I recently decided to try BSIS 2010 because of good reviews and keen price. I went to download the trial only to find that you must run an installer (which i inherently distrust) it then sarted to download multiple install files to where I'm not sure, which again breeds distrust and auto started the install without asking where (again distrust).

My current AV stopped the installation claiming it contained 'ad ware'

Status: Detected (events: 1)

29/08/2009 22:08:14 Detected adware not-a-virus:AdWare.Win32.Agent.pgz http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...n.cab/WSLib.dll

(which perhaps being a trail version is true), now i know that two AV's should not be installed side by side, but the auto install routine doesn't really give you an option, it is by nature doomed to failure.

Is there somewhere to download a complete install package so that I can install my current security suite and give it a whirl. ??

I really hate this web install rubbish !

    Hello Andy ,

Most certainly your current antivirus program is falsely detecting that BitDefender file as infected . That is why we recommend you to completely disable it or better, to completely uninstall it, in case you want to try the BitDefender free trial .

The BitDefender Internet Security 2010 installation kit can be found here:http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...urity/final/en/ .If you have a 32 bits operating system click on bitdefender_internetsecurity_2010_32b.exe and if you have a 64 bits operating system, click on the X64 folder and here click on bitdefender_internetsecurity_2010_64b.exe .

After the download is complete, run the installation package and BitDefender should install without any problems .

    Thank you .
