Hi,

About this problem,

http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/6157/captureyz.png

Since that day I reinstalled BTS 2010 and upgraded from build 13.0.15 to 13.0.16,

this problem seems to be fixed. After a few weeks, out of a sudden,

it happens again. After another reboot, the problem gone for few minutes,

few minutes later, it happens again.

So, i edit the imguimsn.dll

Isn't it fixed in 13.0.16?

and another problem that haven't been fixed, registry access.

It increases registry cleaner scanning time, from 5 minutes to 20 minutes+ and also unable to defrag registry (access denied).

Hope these issues will be fixed soon, Thank you.

'Minimize Scan Wizard to System Tray'

it shows this notification everytime when scan task begins.

It should be shown in the first time only, isn't it?

and if not mistaken, notice that running scan task from the 'Scan Now' button,

is taking longer time to finish scan than running scan task from the 'Run Task' button in 'Virus Scan'.

    Hello Boon,

As we stated in the post dedicated for this issue:http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=15184, this sittuation will be solved in approximately 2 weeks through automatic update. Until then, you can also try the workaround described in my last post .

We will need to search for more information's regarding the registry cleaner feature and we will contact you back in case we need any reports from you .

The notification that you refer to, is normal and it should be displayed every time you run a scan from Novice Mode. Also, when you click on the "Scan Now" button from Novice Mode a Deep System Scan will start. You did not tell us what scan task you have started in Expert Mode accessing the "Run Task" button. If you have started a System Scan is normal that the scan started from Novice Mode to take a longer time, because it will scan the entire system for all types of malware and also the scan will include checking the archives from your system, actions that are not taken when you run a "System Scan".

    Thank you .

    I'm using Expert Mode.

So, the notification that I refer to is from Expert Mode.

It also displayed every time, is it normal too?

Scan Task that I started was Deep System Scan, which is the same started from Scan Now button.

Both are Deep System Scan, but scan time taken seems different.

  • Hello Boon,

The notification that you receive when you run a scan from Expert Mode is not normal. We will search for more information's regarding this sittuation and keep you posted as soon a fix will be released.

The scan time is different due to the BitDefender new feature called SmartScan, which decreases the duration of the scan by adding clean files to a cache so that they will be skipped at the next scan if the files have not been accessed or modified in any way.

    Thank you .
