Wake Up Computer

Is it possible to instruct BitDefender to wake up the computer at 2am to perform the daily scan? It's quite annoying to have it start the scan when I manually wake up the computer with the intention of using the computer.

Hello Twisty McGee,

BitDefender does not have an option to wake up your computer when the scan need to start. However, you can manually start a scan or reschedule the scan, for a period of time when you are not using your system. Below, you will find the steps which will help you schedule a scan :

1. Please open BitDefender, click on the Settings button, select the Expert Mode then click on Ok.

2. Select the Antivirus module and click on the Virus Scan tab. Right click on Deep System Scan and click on Schedule .

3. There select Periodically and from "At every" you will have to choose 1 and from the other drop down menu you will have to select what you want-minutes, hours, days, weeks or months. Then, select the Start date and the hour when the scan will start.
