Windows security alert says that "no anti-virus found" at my system. I downloaded BitDefender8 Free Edition. My system in windows XP.

The No anti-virus found message alerts you that there is no Real time antivirus protection enabled.

BitDefender 8 Free Edition does not have a real time protection. It can only be used for On Demand scanning.

If you don't have another antivirus installed that provides a real time protection, then it's perfectly normal that you get that alert.

You should install an antivirus that provides a realtime protection, because you are vulnerable to infections if you only use BitDefender 8 Free.

What version of Bitdefender have "Real time anti-virus protection"? Thanks!

All paid version of BD have real time protection. Latest version is v10. build 247.
