Bd 2010 Quarantined And Corrupted Outlook.pst
After loading BitDefender 2010, the program scanned my computer (4 different user accounts) for 15+ hours; resulting performance was very, very, very slow. Crawling to Outlook, I was met with a system notice that I had no Outlook.pst file.
I switched hidden files to visibility and found one Outlook.pst file in a Temp folder under BD Quarantine. In the BD Quarantine folder, I found other files that were Outlook.pst in size, but were named "BDQF_1257217662_1.bdq". I cannot simply copy these files to my Outlook folder and change the filename. Years of email records and current email capability are gone. I have removed BD 2010 from my computer and performance speed returned, but my Outlook is still destroyed.
I have tried BitDefender Technical Help 4 times in the last two days. I am promised help via email, but no email arrives (I have to check for it with web mail since my computer Outlook is dead). How can I restore my corrupted Outlook.pst files to pre-BitDefender state?
