Bd 2010 Sound Issues

Im am using BD 2010 IS and all of a sudden my sound is missing.

im not able to play any media files on any of my players.i have checked in other topics for this fix but dont seem to have found one.the updates and stuff all fine just the sound is missing and during start-up it hangs and i get an error msg saying generics windows 32 services error something like that.

(Im using win xp-32b, Realtek sound driver)

Is there any fix for this problem ?

Did you get this error : 'Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error'

I see you're running XP, what service pack? If it's service pack 2, the problem is most likely not with BD. It is probably related to MS Updates. Have a look here:
