Allowing Exe Files

Hi ...


Im using Betdefender Internet Security 2010 on windows 7


My question is how to ALLOW certain files to be copied from ( for example CD to my Hard Drive ), since Bittorrent wont allow me to copy ( EXE, Keygen, files to be copied ) ?

  • You can use the exclusions module.


    Switch to Expert view, go to Antivirus - > Exclusions and click "+". A wizard will guide you trough the process.


    Be careful, you can exclude all the .exe files, but it's quite dangerous. I recommend you to add a specific path only if you are 100% sure that these files file will not harm your computer.


    In your case, if you are using a program that copies these files to a temporary location before burning, add that path to exclusions only while writing the cd. Make sure you scan that temporary folder before.

    I will try this method, but after excluding the file, will Bitdefender search for the EXE or keygen files on my Hard Drive and Delete it ( after copying ) ?

    BitDefender will scan for your files, but will ignore those one added to exclusions list.


    You can always set your antivirus to "Deny access and continue" if you want it to stop deleting your files. This can be done in Antivirus -> Shield -> Custom level. Choose custom actions depending your needs.
