What Is Scan Web (http) Traffic?

Hi,


I am not sure what the AV setting "scan web (HTTP) traffic" does exactly. If I have this unchecked and a virus slips through to my temp internet files, will BitDefender still detect and quarantine the virus?


All it says in the help file is "scans the http traffic". Not sure what it means exactly.

    Yes, it will, on aceess protection will catch that virus in your download folder.


    When navigating with web scan activated, the file won't be downloaded to your PC any more.
