Bitdefender 2010 Desintalled Itself

I purchased the Total Security 2010 suite and installed it from the CD on my Windows XP machine (after desinstalling McAfee Total 2009 suite). Everything when well, I did a full detailled virus scan where 22 errors were found and probably corrected as the result was nothing to worry about. I did all the others scan as well (defrag, optimize registeries, etc..). Everything was ok so far.

During the day the PC prompt for new Microsoft updates and I started the install and run out for dinner.

When I come back then things were strange:

- One of the Microsoft update was not installed (error)

- The Bitdefender was grayed and mouse over was telling that subscription had expired (which had started 6h before). I tried to open it, no results

- Rebooted the PC. No more bitdefender 2010 in the task bar. nor trace of it in the start-program menu

- I checked in the /programs/ folder and found some directory but almost nothing in them.

- I try to reinstalled from CD and installed failed asking to remove the old version. No entry to select in control panel-deinstall SW.

- Used the deinstalled tool and it failed asking to start an on-line scan

I left home this morning after on-line scan started.

Any idea where should I look to solve this issue ?
