Software Incompatible

Hi

Greetings!

Ever since I have installed the BitDefender 2010 Total

Security, two of my software cannot be started.

Both faces the same issue. Have attached a screen

shot below:

Any members have the same issue but got it solved later?

Appreciate if there is a solution given.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely

Try and disable the firewall and see if that makes a difference

My firewall does not work properly and has to be turned off to get some things to work

    Tried, but unsuccessful.

Any more advise from any members here?

  • Hello Richard Cheah,

Please try to disable Active Virus Control to see if it makes any difference. Open BitDefender Security Center, go to Antivirus -> General and click on Advanced settings. There, uncheck the first option and try the applications again.

    Hi Cris

    Tried. Failed again.

Same old problem. Just cannot start the two software

    after disabling the settings.

    Anymore advise?

    Yours sincerely

  • Have you tried to complete that installation process? Maybe something got corrupted (because of BitDefender, or because of some other cause).

At the dialog that you posted, click Browse and search for that installer (in the above screenshot, Captivate_installer.msi) and click OK. Maybe those 2 applications will fix themselves this way.

    Hi Cris

Yes, I have also tried the method to click browse and search for that installer

but the msi file just do not exist.

Do you happen to have an email where I can attached the actual screen shot

for both my software installation issue? Can PM me?

All the msi files are Bit Defender but nowhere can find them when I click on

the browse to search for them.

    Hear from you again.

    Thank you.

    Yours sincerely

Save the screenshots as JPG files and you can directly attach them to this topic.

What do you mean by "All the msi files are Bit Defender but nowhere can find them when I click on

the browse to search for them."?
