Bdfm Service
I've seen this entry in the event viewer on several machines:
The bdfm service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
Generally using Anitvirus 2009 version, the systems were uninfected, nothing in quarantine or log files and the program appears to be running fine. Real-time and updating working normally.
Is this caused by an update that possibly failed or an update that has changed the use of bdfm driver?
The file bdfm.sys is still located in %windir%\system32\drivers\ directory.
If it is something malfunctioning, I will uninstall and re-install the products but I'd like to know it's purpose and severity of this entry.
