Nighly Scan Locks Indefinitely On C:\system Volume Information\spp
Any ideas anyone?
BD 2010 is configured for a nightly scan. This never completes - and every subsequent scan fails to start (as one is still running). Also it prevents any BD updates and so BD eventually reports an "out of date" status to the Windows security monitor.
Vista 32-bit Ultimate, fully updated. BD 2010, also fully updated.
The Scanner UI is running and updates the elapsed time, but the current operation is stuck at "C:\System Volume Information\SPP"
All suggestions very gratefully received.

C:\System Volume Information is the System Restore feature in Windows.
For start you can temporarily turn off system restore and run a new deep scan.

That certainly made the problem go away thanks. But I wonder if I have just destroyed the evidence of a problem? Too late - it's gone now!!
