Our recommendation for you is to update BitDefender and in case these issues still reproduce on your system, please let us know adding your replies to the corespondent topic.

    Thank you.

The scan activity issue still ongoing win xp sp2 x86, and any game that has been manually added in the games list (game mode) is also lost after a system re start this issue (game mode is only happing since the new build) also after a few times of using outlook express 6 e-mail client the anti-spam toolbar fails to display, but always will display in Microsoft office outlook 2003 another issue that has to date not been resolved

  • Hello davey,

In order to solve the Scan activity bar issue please go to the next location:C:\WINDOWS\system32, look after a file called user_gensett.xml and delete it . Reboot your system after that and look if you have the same issue.

Please be so kind as to browse to the location:

    C:\Documents and Settings\<currentuser>\Application Data\BitDefender\Desktop\Profiles on Windows XP.

Please search for ProductTweaks.xml and user_gensett.xml, upload them on Sendspace and post here or send me a PM with the download links.

This location is hidden and you may want to follow the next steps in order to display it :

    - go to your "Control Panel" and open "Folder Options";

    - then go to the "View" tab and perform the changes listed below:

    * check "Display contents of system folders"

    * check "Show hidden files and folders"

    * uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types"

    * uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"

    - click "Apply" and then "OK" to exit.

Regarding the Antispam module, make sure that you are logged in to Windows with an administrative account (for the operating systems that support this type of accounts). Also, please note that the toolbar BitDefender Antispam places inside Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express works only on accounts that have local administrative rights.

    Click Start > Run...

    Type cmd and hit Enter

Type the following commands one after another:

    regsvr32 -u "%ProgramFiles%\BitDefender\BitDefender 2010\bdoe.dll"

    regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\BitDefender\BitDefender 2010\bdoe.dll"

In the above commands we assume that BitDefender is installed in the default location. If this is not the case then you should change the command accordingly.

    Thank you.
