If you are tired of reading condenscending posts about about you *should* have backed up your data, then this *may* help.


Obviously the best solution in many cases is to restore from back if you can. I don't back up my games folders, so here is a potential solution for some restoration. Note if the data is important then you should contact someone like Vogon data recovery or at the very least use a commerical package. You use this freeare program at your own risk...very much like using bitdefender:P


It will trawl your disk to find the deleted files. If you have many, then don't despair, you can sort in date order, to pick up the ones that may be due to the bitdefender disaster. The utility is available here,

I used it to recover the Neverwinter game, if you ever installed it you know what a hassle it is!


This is a freeware tool, I don't suggest you use it for important data, but I did use it to save me the hassle of re-installing this game.
