Stop Bd From Scanning When Ripping From Cd

Hey guys,

I wanted to rip some of my cd's to my pc and when I entered a CD into the CD drive, Bd popped up a message saying it found a new medium (E:\, my CD/DVD drive) that could contain data so it asked me to scan.

Stupid me didn't really read the message and clicked "yes" at the question if I wanted to have Bd scan the drive, and to make it even more embarassing I flagged the "do not ask this again" option as well.

So no Bd is scanning every track I try to rip from my CD drive and it's taking forever.

Is there a way to still turn off BD for ripping from the CD drive?

(I added E:\ to the excluded list but apparantly it still scans it, even after reboot.)

Thanks (and sorry! I feel so stupid!)

  • If you are using Bitdefender in Expert Mode

Go to Antivirus--->Virus Scan--->Device Detection Scan, then right click on the last one and click "Properties", a new windows appear, click on "Detection" tab and uncheck "Detect CDs/DVDs".

    Hope this will help you.

  • And don't forget to click OK after completion.
