New BD suite

Why is it that when i X"s out my home page and leaves my computer for a while it takes about 10 secs before my home page comes back up.My comp is a Dell 2400 2.4ghz with a gig of ram with Winxp home.I'm using Dsl.It's just that i was using ZASS 6.5 and this didn't seem to happen. The old ZASS suite was completely removed before installing BD 10 suite. It's just that it seems a lot slower. Thanks for any answers.

  • Please try to disable the HTTP scan as it may interfere with your home-page, causing a slow down until BitDefender scans the code inside.

  • I have done this from reading another thread here.Does this program use alot of resources? Is there any other settings that i can check or tweak?Everything is set on default.

  • For the time being you can leave anything else on default or do some tweaks according to your needs.

Maybe Niels can help you with some tips & tricks later today when he finds some time. ;)

  • Hi Dellman28

I have no problems if I have http traffic scanning enabled. I tested it with Firefox and Internet Explorer. I suggest that you clean up your temp internet files. If you use Internet explorer then go to extra,internet-settings,then choose for clear (delete, remove) files. Then also press on the settings button under temporary internet settings now you can change the slider to reduce how many temp file that may be stored on your hard disc if you change something press on ok. Refresh also the website by pressing on F5. If you want that IE must clear the temp files if you close IE then go to advanced under security check the option clear the temp folder after closing IE confirm by pressing on apply and ok. If you use Firefox go to extra, options, confidential files then check the option always clear my confidential files after I closed FF. Press also on settings then you can uncheck what you do not want to be removed. Confirm pressing on ok.
