Bd Management Console: Does Scheduled Scan Run Even If Clients Are Not Log In?

I am testing the Bid Defender Small Business Suite. I have a server running Windows 2003 server SBS and 5 clients running Windows XP Professional. Unfortunately I cannot test everything with the Trail version because the client setups are Expired (why? The BD Small Business Suite is still valid and the setups are part of the suite).
What I need to test is how does it work the scheduled remote scan.
I need to schedule a late evening scan (and then a remote shutdown) to all my clients, without having all users logged in.
Does it work even if the client workstation (where the BD Client is installed and managed) is JUST ON BUT NOT LOGGED IN?
In the test that I did this seems not true, because when the scan process start, a Message Box is popping up on the client machine, to the logged user.
Is it possible to make a remote scan without interacting with the remote user?
