Backdoor.ip.protect.a

A friend transferred some files from my very old computer to my new laptop and now both flash drive and laptop have files that won't delete on that are infected with Backdoor.Ip.Protect.A. I tried to drag and drop files into Quarantine but to no avail... it would not move. file is Icq99a.exe. Would love to get rid of whole file. I tried Delete FXP Files 2007 but that wouldn't do it either. What should I do now?

I had another file that was infected with same thing and Bit Defender managed to move that to quarantine and send but not heard anything back yet on how to disinfect other files.

Could you please try this: Go to start,my computer,go to the tools menu, folder options,display/view check the option show hidden files and folders and uncheck hide protected operating system files press on apply and ok.

Delete also the autorun.inf and everything that has Icq99a in the name.

Now use the windows search option: win+F (press the windows button together with the F button), all files and folders, search in my computer, check every option under advanced options/settings,use these search terms:

    Icq99a.*

    autorun.inf

    If found delete them.

    Best regards

I have tried this but it will not delete or be moved to quarantine. It says can't find source. What can I try now please?

BitDefender realtime protection is blocking access to these files. Temporary disable the realtime protection to do that open BitDefender press on the settings button go to antivirus, shield and uncheck realtime protection. Now you must be able to delete these files or quarantaine them.
