Rootkit Scan Module Missing - Disabled
hi. i had some trouble installing bitdefender 8 free offline anti-virus package. The first time all the modules loaded and updated but would not scan (probably a conflict with a2 antivirus program) or spyblaster. i uninstalled a2 and spyblaster. BD still didn't work. Highlighting the BD toolbar icon with the mouse brought up the message, "some BD modules are disabled"
i uninstalled and reinstalled the beta version. Now the scan worked but the option of "rootkit scan" was missing from the menu. Like before highlighting the BD toolbar icon with the mouse brought up the message, "some BD modules are disabled"
I would really like to do the rootkit scan. That's the main reason i downloaded it.
Any advice or reports how rootkit scan is installing and working for others downloading the free stand alone BD antivirus. Incidentally although the download is called free BD ver. 8, it seems to be version 10 beta.
