Usb Issue With Bitdefender

Ever since I installed bitdefender the copy speed in my USB 2 is about 5 MB per second and without it it is about 20 MB.
I don't know if that because of the impact of bitdefender on the system or it if it is a bug in the software.
My specs:
Toshiba satellite A665-s6065
Windows 7 x64
intel core i7 Q720 with 6 M cash
4 GB ram
