Devices And Programs That Connect To The Internet

HELP! I need to appropriately configure my firewall for my MagicJack device. I'm not sure what should and shouldn't be "checked" and I want to avoid potential problems. I've already noticed a slower speed (expected) but I don't want any zombies on my computer....

I already AM a zombie to the BOINC project and I want to avoid being "the one" that is sending all the spam across the world. I also wonder if there's something I should check/uncheck for my BOINC access too!

- are you referring to the BitDefender Firewall ?

:mellow: "MagicJack" is a USB device that provides VOIP access, like Skype. I know that my computer has ports that are utilized for a variety of purposes; I don't want keyloggers accessing my info.

"BOINC" is a cloud-computing device that is more susceptible to being "hijacked" for "nefarious" purposes, so I don't know how you'll help on that one but I thought I'd ask anyways!
