Antispyware Updates
I've just downloaded the trial of BitDefender Antivirus 2008 (64-bit) to check that it works on my system before I purchase it.
I keep getting the 'Windows Security Centre' window bugging me with the following:
Spyware and other malware protection
BitDefender Antispyware reports that it might be out of date. BitDefender Antispyware has not provided Security Centre with a program to fix this issue.
BitDefender is completely updated, and reports 4 green ticks.
Is this problem to be expected? How often do the spyware definitions get updated?
Antivirus 2008 does include AntiSpyware, doesn't it? I remember it telling me to disable Windows Defender during the installation because it was no-longer needed.
I figure it could just be a long time between fresh spyware, should I tell Security Centre to stop monitoring.?

Hello Jarrad
BitDefender will report when the signatures are out of date. If there are any issues you will see it in the BitDefender Security Center where the icons will change when some parts are disabled , outdated.
Spyware and signatures updates are downloaded together. You can see when it happens when you see e_spyw and numbers when BitDefender is updating.
Yes, BitDefender 2008 has spyware protection.
Sometimes windows security center can give false message. You should rely on what BitDefender says.
Best regards
