Scanning Of Nas Shares?

I am shopping for a new anti-virus. I now have NAS and I map the shares as drives on my PC. But it turns out two home antivirus solutions so far do not allow scanning of network shares of any kind; one requires that I invest in professional versions of their software, and the other simply doesn't.


So does BitDefender Home & Home Office allow the scanning of network shares?


BTW: this information needs to be made clear by all AV manufacturers: MANY people are expanding their storage through relatively dumb NAS boxes.

    Hi there,


    BitDefender will scan for network shares but you need set it up.


    This means that you need to create a new task under the Virus scan tab and manually add the network share path.


    The real time protection in BitDefender by default will scan the network shares when you access them.
