  • Hello Andy Antoniou,

    Sorry for the late response.

Depending on the choses you've made on each PC when the Firewall Wizard appeared, BD blocks (or not) the File and Printer sharing (for your security). I assume you chose something like Insecure connection which lead to this feature being blocked.

Since you didn't say exactly (or I didn't understand) which Firewall has to be disabled, I'll give you instructions to configure both of them.

Unfortunately, this means resetting the Firewall profile(s), which will cause all rules to be lost and you'll have to re-configure the Firewall(s) again, by allowing/blocking applications that request access to the network.

    BD v10

In BitDefender Management Console, go to Firewall -> Traffic and click Reset profile. On step 6/7, select Trusted LAN.

    BDv11

In BD Security Center go to Settings -> Firewall -> Traffic and click Reset profile. In the Firewall Wizard select Trusted network. Also, go to the Zones tab and add your other computer as trusted IP.

This should enable you to browse your shared files. Please post if this fixed your problem.

    Cris.
