Excluding Path From Viru Scan Not Working
I have one program where the exe file gives a positive hit as having a virus. I would like to have BD Total Security 2008 ignore this file/path. Have put the path in the virus Exceptions/Object not to be scanned. When the scheduled virus scan runs I still get a message that I have one virus infection, which is this path/file. Besides not giving an error when this is run, I thought this was also supposed to have the virus scanner ignore this path/file.
Cannot believe something his basic is broken, so what am I overlooking?

Hello bill
I will see if I receive the same problem. Did you when you followed the steps and the entry was created press on the apply button?
To verify if it's a false positiv please make a topic in the malware section and upload the file where BitDefender reacts on.
If it doesn't work I will report it.
Best regards

Hello bill
I also confirm when you make a user task the folder you excluded is still being scanned. I didn't test is yet for the default scan types.

Sounds like a bug to me. Hopefully it will be corrected soon.
Thanks for verifying that I am not crazy.
