Hello mofisa
Click on start, rightclick on my computer choose properties, press on system restore tab, check the option disable system restore on all stations press on ok till everything is greyed out. Uncheck it again and press on apply. It could be that you have to temporary disable the realtime protection of BitDefender rightclick on the red BitDefender icon go to antivirus, click on enable realtime protection. Retry it but do not forget to click again on realtime protection to re-enable it again.
Best regards

Hello mifisa,
Try this: open RegEdit (Start -> Run -> regedit.exe) and search for the key:HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
and look for the value CheckedValue. If it's type is REG_SZ then delete the key.
IMPORTANT! Make a backup before changing the regitry! Right click on the folder Hidden, click Export and save a .reg file somewhere on your HDD. In case something goes wrong, run that file to undo any changes.
After you delete that value, create a new one, named CheckedValue, with the type DWORD and the data 1.
Then restart your system and see if you can change the option of showing the Hidden files and Folders.
Post if this solved your problem.
