[resolved]Trying To Install Bdis 2012 Dutch Version: Failure
I wanted to upgrade from BDIS 2011 (64 bit NL) to BDIS 2012 (64 bit NL). I purchased a new license key an downloaded a package of 245MB succesfully. During install my previous version of BD needed to be uninstalled, so it happend. After a required reboot the setup of BDIS 2012 went on. But... when I tried to enter my license key a pop-up message appeared: 'there was an error of downloading some install files. what would you like to do'? (translated from Dutch, don't know exactly the English dialog...).
Long story short, after clicking continue I was able to enter my license key, but then the installation stopped because there was no internet connection, try again later. (but I obviously have one...).
Solutions I've tried: Uninstalled manually using the Uninstall-tool (during live chat...), Un-blocked the installation file (245MB), downloading-during-installation method from a small app. 800kB file (no internet connection). Emptied my %temp% folder with remaining BD files, disabled software that could interfere (like Tune-up Utilities an Wyse browser)...
At last I (accidentally) downloaded the US-EN version and guess what? Installation went well. In a couple of minutes I had BDIS 2012 installed! But, of course, I want the Dutch version properly to be installed instead of the US-EN version.
system specs: running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on a Intel Core2Duo CPU @ 2,66GHz with 4 GB RAM

Hello,
You should have installed it using the online installation kit from the link below:
http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_isecurity.exe
The issue you encountered was due to the fact that the previous registration details were not removed upon uninstalling the 2011 Dutch version.
Can I please see a screenshot of the error in Dutch or tell me the exact message displayed? I'm speaking it so no worries about the translationdisabled software that could interfere (like Tune-up Utilities an Wyse browser)
- how exactly you did that? Considering that you are talking about a security solution, most of the times simply disable an option in the particular software will not also remove the associated drivers so you will have a conflict between the two drivers providing real time protection.
I can assist you in installing the Dutch version. Sent you further instructions via email. Your ticket ID is: 201109041003953.
Looking forward to your answer!0 -

First about disabling some software: I read on some forums about some software that could interfere. So I disabled it using Taskmanager and ending the process. But after all, it didn't matter running these software or not. I already ran the Uninstall tool before installing the new version of BD, somehow, some files couldn't be uninstalled so maybe that's were the problem is...
I've uploaded to screenshots, so I hope this will help.0 -

I've sent a request to do a remote session today, but got no response. The session was planned today at 17.30 GMT (local time 19.30)...0 -
'Solved' the problem by myself. I finally decided to format my hard drive for a clean install of my OS and the Dutch version of BDIS also: no problems, installation went flawlessly.
Couldn't wait any longer for a remote session or a reply0 -
