Hi all,

If you are thinking about buying BitDefender please tread carefully. I purchased Bit Defender about a year ago and took it off my PC a few months later. It was ok - but slowed up my pc and didn't meet my expectations or needs. There was a few problems which were never rectified.

Ho hum, you win some you lose some.

What I did not like is that I received an email yesterday saying that I had placed an order for £50 - about $85 for 12 months more of Bit Defender!!!!!!!

Now, as I mentioned before, Bit Defender is off my PC, for my needs it is not worth anything - this is just my view - I'm sure there are satisfied customers out there, but I'm not one of them.

I sent them an email saying cancel my subscription and that I did not order the product and wanted a refund and that I wanted to be taken off their records.

I have received a very quick response from Bit Defender to Avangant regarding my request for a refund.

I am astonished that BitDefender can take money from my account without consent. I would strongly advise that anyone thinking about purchasing BitDefender to tread carefully and perhaps keep an eye on this thread to see what happens.

Bitdefender would not survive long if they adopted this kind of behavior. This is plain fraud:

Someone out there must be using your license key or something, and bought the extension on your account.

You should investigate who this is, Bitdefender can probably give you the IP of the current user of your license.
