Bd 2012 And Wow Launcher
My World of Warcraft Launcher's download speed is being badly throttled, and BitDefender 2012 is the culprit. Even with the relevant programs added to the exceptions list and every possible scanning feature disabled, my patch download is maxing out at a dismal 10-15 kbps. I temporarily uninstalled BitDefender to get things moving and the download is now working normally.
Is there some part of BD I may have failed to configure to allow the WoW Launcher to work properly?

Hello,
As you already noticed in the other two topics, everyone is uninstalling BitDefender. Why ? The correct approach should be disabling each module or option to see which one is the culprit.
I do suspect the AVC however is just a hunch for the time being. Would you agree to a remote session to troubleshoot this on the spot ?
I was not able to reproduce this issue on my PC so I will wait for the next WoW Patch to be released to be able to test it and find a possible resolution for it.
I am sorry I can't reinstall WoW for the time being due to the lack of time (you should know the time needed to install and upgrade WoW to the latest patch).
IMPORTANT: for everyone who is dealing with this issue, please do NOT uninstall BitDefender. Contact Us by one of the communication channels we provide (email, phone, Live Chat Assistance or this forum) and ask for assistance. This will help us understand and find the cause of the issue a lot faster.
If you are really in need of opening the game, send me a PM with the remote details and I'll connect it as soon as possible. Also make sure you enclose a phone number and the TeamViewer details in your PM.
