Checksums For Installation Of Bd Files / Verify Download
Hi!
I plan to upgrade to the new version of the BitDefender. Why you do not publish the hash sums for files to download? For an example: SHA-1, SHA-512? Or even a simple MD5 checksum? How do I verify the correctness and the consistency of the downloaded files?
Best regards,

Hello and sorry for my late response, needed few more info before replying. Regarding your query be kindly informed that it's not a must to verify the files md5 as we are verifying them upon updating. The md5 is checked and compared for each file included in the update process.
The file where all the important md5 are stored is:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\BitDefender\Bitdefender Threat Scanner\Antivirus_*****_***\Plugins\kitmd5.dat
If you suspect having problems with the update, you can check and see not to have any .upd files in the Bitdefender installation folder.
If you need any further assistance please let me know.
