Monitor / Computer Won't Wake Up?
Using the latest rescue cd to clean up WindowsXP
The machine booted on the cd fine, the scanner started automatically although it hadn't listed anything as scanned yet.
I walked away for about an hour assuming it would take several to do its work.
When I came back the display is asleep. Seems like the computer is as well. Although the lights are still green on the computer, nothing wakes it up and it is making zero noise so I don't think its doing anything. Even pressing the Eject button to Eject the Rescue CD doesn't eject the CD.
Are there any other options than just power cycling the computer?
Assuming a power cycle is my only option... How bad is that on the data since Windows disks are mounted using Linux to scan/clean. Am I going to destroy the partition maps, boot data or user data in some way by just power cycling it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For anyone that wonders.
Power cycle didn't ruin anything.0 -
Hello
Please check all the options from BIOS. The current situation should not occur when using the Rescue CD.
Thank you.0
