Need To Block Skype From Updating

Having a problem. I use skypmate and skype to make calls from my pc, however skype keeps autoupdating itself to the newest version which is not compatible with skypemate. Have to use skype 5.3, on this forum http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows/Stop...ates/td-p/52752 it is described what IP address is needed to block skype from auto updating since there is no option to uncheck in the program that forces it not to auto update. I am having a hard time figuring out how to input the IP address into the bitdefender 2011 fire wall . FIREWALL---->ADD RULE---->ADVANCED----> IP UNCHECK TO MANUAL INPUT----->Put it in and it tells me invalid application process.


How do i go about preventing skype from updating but still able to make my calls and video chat out. thank you

    Please open the Bitdefender dashboard and go to Firewall > Network tab and create a zone with the IP:


    Select the used network under Zones (either Local Area Connection or Wireless Connection) and click on “Add zone”. Enter the IP of the server, select Block as Permission and click OK. You should see a zone being added in the Zones list.
