Found this on the forum, but this didn't help me.
- open Bitdefender, go to Firewall panel and make sure it is turned on
- click on "Network details" and locate the adapter. It is either Local Area Connection if the device is connected by cable or Wireless Area connection if it is a wireless device
- for this particular adapter please set
*Network type to Trusted
* Stealth mode to Off
* Generic to Yes
and click Close.
Now please check if the issue persists. If it does, please create a zone for the device's IP address:
- open Bitdefender
- click on Settings
- go to Firewall module
- turn ON "Internet Connection Sharing" and turn OFF "Block port scans"
- go to Advanced tab
- click on Adapter rules
- select the corresponding adapter and click on "Add zone" button
- select the IP address from the list or enter it manually, set Permission to Allow and click OK0 -

Just to be 100% sure
In Firewall/Advanced/Adapter rules
put in IP 10.0.0.199/24 and 10.0.0.52/24
and if't not 24 as Zone is there a easy way to find out what zone number i shall use instead?0 -

Don't get it.
Have added, all zones 1 to 32 and printer still don't work.
have added a picture.
Have only Wireless Network Connection in Networks.
and only used zones for the router.

No. You should only add the IP range of the router. Delete all those zone and create only one like in the example.
Example: IP/24 like 192.168.0.0/24

I'm sad to say
it didn't work.
all have setup as message back.
just saying "Printing" and more dosn't happing.

Just as a extra infomation the scanner have worked the hole time regarding setting change.
Try set firewall off and reboot, but that didn't helped.
My 2nd. PC just uninstalled BD2012 and the printer is working fine on the 2nd PC.
so i'm possitive that it have something to do with BD2012, i just don't know what.0 -

Are you sure that those IPs are the correct ones?
Have you tried to add them without the 24 bit subnet mask ?
Like : 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2.
Also, please click on Start->Run
type cmd
In the Command Prompt windows type ipconfig /all
Now maximize that window so I can sell all the text and post a screenshot here.

I first tried without /24
Here is print from 2 PC, there have the same issu.
the 3 PC where i uninstalled BD2012, i can provide info aswell if needed.
I Trust as soon as you see this info. that you remove it.............................

Do you use WEP or WPA for your network?
Go to TCP/IP Setup and set up an IP for the printer around 10.0.0.52.
Also, create a zone for that new IP.
Make sure that your Windows network profile is set to Home.

I'm so sorry, but i do not agree that i have to tamper with the firewall setting in the router,
the problem is with BD2012 and runing inside the network.
Then it most have something to do with network filter.
As i see it..
So i have send in a request for a refund, i don't see other ways, because it seems that
with other equally good Internet sequrity programs as BD, there's no problem with the settings with my Router.0 -

Running 2 firewalls on the same connection-the hardware component from your router and the one installed on your machine-can cause unsuspected situations.
Have you set the network profile to Home from Windows?
Also, as you can see in this topic, if the settings are correctly applied on the machine, the Canon printers should work smoothly with Bitdefender installed:

I just upgraded from BD 2010 to BD 2012 and I no longer can print. I have a lexmark printer that is connected to one machine via USB and wifi on my laptop. I have tried the firewall adjustments and it still won't work. Please help.

Couldn't upload the file due to the 2MB limitation. The archive file created by the tool was 7MB in size, so I uploaded to MediaShare.

I made the changes noted in the link with no success.
When I uninstall BD2012, the printer works fine. I reinstalled bitdefender again and made the changes noted in the link. I then deleted and re-added the printer. The printer was detected and installed correctly. I open the printer queue and it detects the printer is online. However, when I go to print a page, the document just sits in the queue and doesn't print. The strange part is when I reboot the computer and log back in, the document prints, but any new documents I send to the printer do not print until I reboot the computer. Very strange.
Not sure where to go from here. Is there any other suggestions?0 -

Please save the update patch from the following link on your Desktop:

Now restart your PC in Safe Mode and run that patch(for Windows Vista/7, right click on the file and choose Run as administrator).
Reboot your machine in Normal Mode, open Bitdefender using the desktop icon and click on Update now button.
A product update was released. Your build should be 15.0.37.1560(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

[How to restart in Safe Mode]
- Restart the computer (Windows Start button - Turn Off - Restart);
- Press the "F8" key several times before Microsoft Windows begins to load; you need to press "F8" until you will be displayed a text menu;
- Select "SAFE MODE with Networking" in the text menu and press "Enter".
- Wait while Windows loads in Safe Mode; this process ends with a confirmation message; click "OK" to acknowledge.
