Anyone else having problems with pop-ups from Bitdefender 2012. The attached is a screen print of their pop-up that takes president over all my apps. In your language it stay on top like Task Manager forcing me to move it to the side in order to work.

Just to see where it links to I clicked on the Activate Now button and it took me to the following site:

https://my.bitdefender.com/en_us/my/#page=idw.index

Then I closed down the internet connection and re-opened it and went to Bitdefender's website and guess what? When I click on the My BitDefender tab on their web page I get the following URL:

https://my.bitdefender.com/en_us/my/#page=main.login

Bottom line it is Bitdefender's software that is doing this and it is not a virus. Even checked my running processes and there weren’t any that I did not know. So my question is when are they going to stop this intrusive behavior? And please do NOT tell me to turn off my notifications UNLESS there is a specific notification that will turn this off and this ONLY.

Whoever thought of this “marketing” ploy ought to be fired immediately. One of the reasons we buy an AV package is to be protected from just this kind of action. Now I have Bitdefender interrupting me with commercials. What next? I am not happy in the least especially when you own tech people don’t seem to know what is going on.

  • Hello

That feature is available only in US and it's an extra layer of protection for credit card holders.

How many times did you received that pop-up?

    Thank you.

Three times so far. How do I stop them from popping up? Will it stop after so many "views"?
