Insanely Long Scan Time!

I just put a 16gb flash drive with about 3.5 gb worth of data on it in my PC and am letting BD scan it. It has taken over 40 minutes to scan one 7 mb file!!!!!! For the last 30 minutes it has said it has 1 minute remaining. WOW!!!!! The file just happens to be the manual update file for Malwarebytes. Is it because the file is from a competitor that this is happening? I finally had to stop the scan but I would LOVE to see how long it would take to completely scan this file. Maybe I'll let it run overnight and see if it's finished in the morning. At this point, I doubt it.

Many factors can cause thse,so among them are :-

    1. It depends on the processor speed of the PC and the total Hard Drive space that you have.If processor speed is slow and hard disk have low disk space then it will take more time to scan.

2.Do you have any other security software installed that might block the Bit defender scan.

    3. Due to some technical reasons it will show you that it is taking 40 min to scan, but the scan became idle and the application thus runs simply.

So I will suggest you that, please stop the scan as of now and no need to wait for 40 min, take out your pendrive and then insert it again and start the scan again.
