After 11 hours it was not finished and had scanned 150,000 files. Usually it was scanning at about 1 file per second.
This seems unreasonably slow.

I've never had my Bitdefender complete a scan since I installed it - I have even set up a custom scan restricting the files scanned but after 12 hours it still hadn't finished. My previous security S/W completed a full system scan in around 2 hours 30 minutes. I also get regular virus database update failures. I've decided to cut my losses and go back to my previous vendor.
