Ie8 Freezes
WinXP + IE8
Since I installed BitDefender a month ago I am getting IE freezing. It can happen anytime, but in particular when I boot my pc, I get about 3 minutes of normal operation then it always freezes for 10 minutes. I've reset IE and disabled all add-ons. What else can I do?

Have you tried disabling Bitdefender's firewall to see if the issue persists? Furthermore, do you have alternate browsers such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox that you can try to see if the issue crops up on those also? Next, you can try to do a repair of IE8 via Add/Remove Programs. Also, have you made sure you are completely up-to-date on all Windows and Bitdefender updates?0 -

I've been trying to generate the log file. Maybe it will succeed eventually, but right now its been stuck for a couple of hours on the section where it's "Getting the Event Logs..."0 -
