Hi All, Well I read a post on this website http://agnipulse.com/2010/08/boot-kaspersk...k-10-hard-disk/ about booting Kaspersky Rescue Disk from Hard Disk instead of booting it from USB or CD. Is it possible to boot Bitdefender from Hard Disk in Windows XP?? I know new version of Bitdefender has rescue mode for Windows 7 and Vista (may be) but not for XP. So, it would be gr8 if one could boot Bitdefender Rescue CD from Hard Disk like KAV CD. When I tried this I was successful in booting BD Cd but after splash it shows nothing and GUI is not loaded. Any Help????

  • Hello

If you have Bitdefender 2012 installed on that machine, you can use the Rescue Mode.

Also, this module is available for XP, Vista and 7.

You can not start the rescue CD from the HDD, but you can use an USB stick to boot from it.

    Thank you.

Christian this mode is not available in Windows XP, refer to this link: http://www.bdantivirus.com/bitdefender/ant...ion.rescue.html

    Hi :)

That link refers to that method to start directly in Rescue Mode without loading the operating system and that is not available for XP.

This module is not OS dependent. It's not like Bitdefender Sandbox that can work only under Vista and 7.

    Thank you.
