Does Bitdefender Scan For Rootkit Viruses?

Hi Truva,
Still not having read the manual, which I want to do sometime, it sounds like B.D. does this "automatically" though its scanning engines, and there is not an option to click or tick in the settings. The below is taken from this thread: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=30509I am having the same problem:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
bdselfpr
trufos
Please let me know what I need to do to fix this problem. It is causing my Windows Vista to hang when booting into windows.Hello guys
I have fresh news for you. Our developers investigated this issue and they came with a final conclusion: the drivers are loading and the error message is generated by Windows.
Is basically a false alarm regarding our drivers(the one that we use for detecting rootkits and the one that is protecting Bitdefender from malware).
This issue has been scheduled for fixing in the next iteration.
Thank you for your patience.

Sorry Truva, I was trying to add this to the above post, but it went goofy on me
Yet, you can create a Custom Scan that will give you the Manual option to include a Rootkit scan, by opening B.D. Clicking on Scan Now, and clicking the Custom Scan Option, Click Select Target, then Scan Options, and you can include Rootkits in that scan.0 -
Hello
The on Access protection module is actively monitoring the system for rootkit behavior.
Also, the Full System Scan is also checking if the system is infected by this class of malware.
Thank you.0
