Failed Grc Leak Test

Could someone tell me how to set up- my firewall so that it will pass leak test. Every time I try the GRC leak test it fails and says my firewall was penetrated.

Thanks

  • Hi Mike,

IMHO I tend to think those type of sites can be misleading. The ones at least I'm familiar with, ask you to download a file and run it, to see if your Firewall will "catch it". It is like inviting a thief into your house, and then asking him to break out. The true test is in normal use, and as a Suite in whole in blocking malware, port scans etc.

I'm sure others with an opinion will chime in too. :)

    Hello Mike :)

    Welcome to our forums.

First off all, that software was updated in 2005. It is practically not a test in the antivirus industry. The application is using port 80 to connect to the main site.

If the application is not malware and the website is clean, the connection should be permitted by any security solutions. Else, we have a false positive.

Let me know if you have other questions. Thank you.
