Smaller Install Size

It would be great if you do something about the size of Bitdefender when installed. It takes up lot of space. Definitions are very around 240 mb and it keeps older definitions probably for troubleshooting issues. The size of the installer also grows progressively. You can try removing older definitions for malware that is no longer "alive" or you can somehow cleanup the code. This will improve your whole performance.

I agree and the third party installation dependencies should also be removed from the installer which would be treated as "Pre-Requistes".

First off all, in order to install Bitdefender 2012 we need to install Microsoft .Net Framework 4 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable SP1 on that machine. These are included in the installation kit. For safety reasons, for now these will remain in the offline kit because in some cases the user doesn't have an active internet connection to install these first.

Also, some malware definitions were compacted in December and new generic definitions were created. We can not remove any definitions because that will be a security breach.
