Bitdefender Blocking Applications Without Informing - Also Log We Can Check ?
Hi there !
To me, a security suite needs to work as silent as possible, but also be able to inform when something is blocked.
I have open 2 different posts because of application not working / giving error, until I discovered the applications were working fine without bitdefender.
Hopefully, support is able to help and issue new version release taking of.
But the purpose of this post is more general.
When those applications were blocked, Bitdefender didn't infor about anything. No warning screen, nothing in theevents ...
I spent hours and days firuring out is was an issue with Bitdefender, and issue was solved by uninstalling it or having support looking at this.
So 2 questions I have here :
- is there a way to be informed when bitdefender is blocking something ? Would it even be in log files ... is there any possibility ?
- Each time I had to uninstall Bitdefender. Is there a more common way of disabling completely bitdefender just as if it was not installed on the computer, without uninstalling it ?

Welcome back.
The only way to receive a prompt message from our product is to disable the Auto Pilot.
In you case, the product is not blocking a malicious software or traffic, it simply hangs during the scan. For this we need to further investigate the issue.
The only way to disable Bitdefender is to boot in Safe Mode and disable the services and after that restart in Normal Mode.
I will get back to you on the other topics with more details about this.
