Firewall Configuration

Options

I want to block a software from connecting to a specific website only but work well with the rest. For example, I don't want Internet Download Manager to connect to Mediafire but want it connect to other websites.

Can you help explain how to do it. Thanks in advance.

    Hello :)

You can do this from Bitdefender 2012 too :)

As the new Bitdefender 2012 product suite was released, we would like to inform you that you benefit from a FREE upgrade to the latest version.

Apart from the fact that the 2012 suite brings lots of new features and improvements, it will most likely solve any issues that you may have encountered with your previous Bitdefender product.

    Please check out this announcement:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...f=210&id=42

Please follow the steps from below:

In order to change your network type, please right click on BitDefender icon from system tray(the "B" icon) and choose "Show". From the main window, click on "Network details" button from the Firewall section.

All your adapters are listed there and you will be able to change your network type. Set the network type to "Home/Office", Stealth Mode to "Off" and Generic to "Yes". After this click on Close.

Now click on "Settings" button. Go to the firewall module on the left and select the "advanced" tab from the right side. Now click on "Adapter rules". A new window will open. Click on "Add Zone" button. Enter the IPs from Mediafire, make sure you selected Deny and click OK. Close all the windows and reboot your machine.

If you need any further assistance on this issue, please feel free to let us know. Have a nice day.
