Embedding Objects

I don't know if this is a Word issue or a BitDefender issue; I suspect the latter because it only seems to have happened since I installed BitDefender Total Security 2012. While I can embed PowerPoint files in my Word documents, I don't seem to feel to do this for PDF files. Whenever I do so, the system hangs (I have to close word in task manager) and BitDefender informs me that it has 'blocked an exploit'. Does anybody know what is going on?

    Do you have the default settings in the product?


    Have you change the protection level to Active Virus Control or Intrusion Detection System to Aggressive ?
