Quicktime Videos On Apple Site Being Blocked

I have found that the only way I can view videos (which I believe are in Quicktime format) on the Apple website is to enable game mode.

I have tried whitelisting the Apple site, I have tried to allow Quicktime as a firewall rule, but I must be missing something. I am trying to view the site using Safari on a Windows 7 computer. The behavior is the same regardless of the browser I use, however.

If Bitdefender is running in regular mode, if I click a link to view a video (say, one of the videos on the Garageband page), all I get is a blank space with an "x". If I put Bitdefender into game mode, I can view the video just fine.

Obviously, I don't want to be running in game mode if I don't have to.

Help, please.

  • Hi, thanks for the info, sorry not to have checked back. I just purchased a new computer, and after doing a fresh install of all my programs, the issue persists.

I will run the tool later today, and forward the log results.
